Greetings,
Thank you for taking the first step in discovering how you and your family can become part of the NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY community. We look forward to showing you more of who we are and how we develop and equip our students for college and beyond.
NLCA is a private, Pre-K through Grade 12 college preparatory school that prides itself on academic rigor and achievement from an intentionally Christian worldview. We are committed to building strong academic, social, and spiritual foundations that will carry students on to a life of service and faith that brings goodness to their communities and, ultimately, the world. We accomplish this by partnering with families to educate the whole child and provide each student with the resources, opportunities, and tools to be successful.
Here at NLCA you will find dedicated faculty and staff, challenging courses, and competitive programs. But, more importantly, you’ll find a Christian community that is dedicated to the growth and success of each student from Pre-K through Grade 12. We understand that the journey of selecting a school for your child is full of questions and weighty decisions, and we look forward to walking with you through this process to discover the best opportunity available for your child.
We invite you to visit us and see for yourself what sets NLCA apart. We want you to experience this special place and discover how we inspire each student to fulfill his or her potential, and we look forward to partnering with you to discover how NLCA might be the next step on your student’s journey.

Philosophy of Christian Education
We know God and Christ only through the Bible. This knowledge forms a foundation for the rest of life, which must be built upon knowing Christ. Bible is a required subject at New Life Christian Academy in every grade. From its pages, we can gain a clear direction for everyday living as it reveals to mankind the only way to heaven and the only hope for eternity. We expect students to: Strive for academic excellence Develop their capacity as godly, thinking individuals Formulate sets of core values to guide them as they make ethical decisions Facilitate interpersonal relationships A God-Centered Curriculum The Bible enhances and becomes the foundation for the study of all other subjects, among them, English, history, reading, mathematics and science, etc. New Life Christian Academy exists to glorify Jesus Christ by revealing truth, imparting knowledge, stimulating spiritual growth, and developing Christian character in young men and women through a college preparatory curriculum taught by Christian teachers. |
Statement of Faith
NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY is committed to historic Biblical orthodoxy as expressed in the historic church councils and creeds. It welcomes serious Christians from all of the Christian faith traditions. It seeks to be theologically orthodox, evangelical in character, and Christian in spirit. Its Statement of Faith is considered primary doctrine. On other matters, deference is given to parents and their churches.
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe there is only one sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious atoning death through His shed blood, in His physical resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to power and glory.
- We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit because of the sinfulness of human nature.
- We believe that the salvation of man is by the grace of God and that man is justified through faith in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those saved unto the resurrection of eternal life, and those lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

EducationEarly Education: Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten
New Life's Early Education program (Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten) develops emergent readers and problem-solvers through activities based on phonics, one-to-one correspondence, number and letter recognition, as well as early math concepts, including counting, pattern recognition, and simple math. Likewise, each child’s natural curiosity is welcomed and encouraged through creative play, field trips and hands-on activities. Age-appropriate lessons in history and science are an added complement to the program. New Life teaches early reading using "Reading with TLC" which is comprised of 2 creative programs, Lively Letters and Sight Words You Can See. Lively Letters improves phonemic awareness, speech production, and phonics, while Sight Words You Can See facilitates the training of abstract sight words that don't follow the rules of phonics, such as "come," and "want." The daily schedule for Pre-K and Kindergarten is an active one that matches the energy of the students. In addition to lessons, structured play, and personal activity time, students also participate in daily enrichment activities that span a variety of subjects such as art, music, physical education, health, Bible, computer and library. New Life's Early Education Program is committed to providing a sound educational and Christian experience that not only stimulates learning and development, but also promotes spiritual and social growth through a supportive staff and nurturing environment. Elementary School: Grades 1-5 The Elementary School welcomes the opportunity to partner with parents in helping their children develop the gifts and talents God has given to each of them. The goal of the elementary school is to incorporate the best instructional methods and practices to meet the educational, physical, social and spiritual needs of all students. Students are encouraged to work together to create an exciting, safe and positive learning environment based on sound educational research supported by Biblical principles. New Life's emphasis is for each elementary student to become a comprehensive, independent thinker, reader, and writer, equipped with the skills to help him or her increase achievement in all subject areas. Teachers focus on specific objectives, thought processes, and the visual tools necessary for developing such comprehension. In addition to the traditional academic subjects, elementary students also receive instruction in Bible, French and/or Spanish, art, music, library, computer, physical education and health. Middle School: Grades 6-8 Recognizing the unique developmental needs of pre-teens, the middle school strives to integrate quality education with purposeful Biblical application throughout our middle school program. Core subjects are taught with the intent of encouraging students to think critically, and to take a leadership role in their education. Through academic integration and weekly chapel services, students are challenged to develop their character, and to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In addition to core academics, additional opportunities such as J-term take the learning experience outside the walls of the school. All experiences combined, both in and out of the classroom, help to prepare our students to successfully transition to their high school career. High School: Grades 9 - 12 The High School focuses on preparing students for college by cultivating a Biblical mindset, critical thinking skills, and a compassion for others. It is our desire to enable our students to think from a sound and godly mind, so that God may be glorified in all their future endeavors. Our students’ spiritual growth is fostered through their participation in retreats, weekly chapels, positive peer groups, and community service. Instruction is scripturaly integrated so that God’s natural creation and His special revelation, the Bible, come together to form a complete worldview. Students also have opportunity to engage in sports, drama, and art which reflect God’s nature and encourage the gifts and abilities God has given to each. High school curriculum provides well-rounded educational opportunities with a comprehensive scope, offering a rigorous challenge for the college-bound student. The former name of the school was New Life Christian School. We believe that faith and learning are key and inseparable components of Christian education. As a school that was born out of the evangelical and biblical conviction, the founders believed that excellent college preparatory education was possible without compromising the Christian philosophy of the school. This critical component of our school is captured in the name of the institution – NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY. NLCA is a Christian college-preparatory school.. Our Core Values: Organizational
Spiritual Life A true, traditional liberal arts curriculum is infused by our Christian faith as NLCA seeks to educate the whole person. Staff and faculty seek to integrate faith and learning into every aspect of NLCA and our community--whether that's through weekly chapels, spiritual conversations, both in and out of the classroom. Our teachers will also lead the students in moments of reflection and prayer. Spiritual Life Goals Our desire is that students will be more enabled to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We earnestly hope, throughout their NLCA careers, that all of our students will grow spiritually, such that they:
Class Chaplain Student chaplains are an integral part of NLCA. Several students are selected each year by their peers to be class leaders. These students help plan activities and are also responsible for serving their grades by offering homeroom devotions. The Upper School chaplains meet regularly with the Chaplain Prefect and the School Chaplain to discuss spiritual issues facing students and to encourage one another in leading students. This is a time that is given over to both planning and training chaplains in their roles as spiritual leaders. Spiritual Emphasis Week Each year, NLCA has a Spiritual Emphasis Week where we invite special guests to speak in chapel services, attend classes, and engage with students on spiritual topics. Evening sessions are regularly offered for parents to offer support on a relevant topics facing teens and their faith today. Although classes are still in session, the week offers the community an opportunity to spiritually reflect on who we are before God and who we are for each other.
